Selenium removal plant "Luna"

May 2013, construction and start up of the new selenium removal plant "Luna" at the site of Portovesme srl, a Glencore/Xtrata zinc lead production factory: the plant, an application of a technology developed by our Research Centre, treats a flow of 20 cubic meters of process water, reducing the high selenium concentration below the legal limits set for the discharge in surface waters, equal to 0.03 ppm.
