Mobile waste treatment plant
Mobile waste treatment plant for the treatment of hazardous and non-hazardous solid waste.
Ecotec has been authorised to operate a mobile hazardous and non-hazardous waste treatment plant pursuant to art. 208, paragraph 15 of Legislative Decree 152/2006 (Determination no. 123 of 2 September 2008 by the Cagliari Province Ecology and Civil Protection Director).
The mobile waste treatment plant, with a capacity of 40 m3/h, is designed to treat hazardous and non-hazardous waste, by means of mechanical dehydration (in the case of liquid and/or palatable sludge), eventual shredding (solid waste), and subsequent stabilisation, in order to obtain a final waste with the proper characteristics for landfill disposal or further treatment.
The characteristics of flexibility and modularity make it possible to easily adapt the process parameters in order to guarantee the best performance, depending on the quality of the incoming waste and the expected results.
The mobile waste treatment plant is in fact composed of the following sections (modules): Centrifugation of pumpable waste mainly characterised by the presence of oils - operations D9 and D14; Shredding of solid waste - operation D14; Stabilisation and solidification (defined as inertisation) - operations D9 D14, through the addition of specific reagents such as calcium oxide and particular types of bentonite with high adsorbing power.
Furthermore, a system for the treatment of gaseous emissions (wet scrubber and filtration on activated carbons) is foreseen to guarantee an effective abatement of pollutants (particulate matter and organic compounds carried away by the reaction vapours) and to ensure compliance with the legal limits.
The authorisation to operate the mobile waste treatment plant identifies all the types of waste that can be treated in the plant.
