Metal recovery
Metal recovery from industrial waste and WEEE
Metal recovery from ferrous and non-ferrous metallurgical industry wastes, tailings from mining or from WEEE is becoming extremely interesting, under the combined push of environmental regulations, the depletion of traditional supply sources and thanks to the availability of new technologies.
Today, metal recovery processes from WEEE have reached a good level of standardisation, while the possibility of extracting metals from ferrous and non-ferrous metallurgical industry waste and tailings from mining is a topic that has only just begun to be investigated.
At Ecotec Research Centre, "metal recovery" issues are initially investigated with small-scale tests and, if promising results emerge, with increasingly large-scale pilot plants, up to the design of a real industrial plant.
Given the variable composition and characteristics of the materials that contain these metals and their production cycles, there is no one-size-fits-all solution. Each case is unique, whether it involves the extraction of metals from WEEE, special waste or industrial process intermediates.
The Research Centre is able to study tailor-made solutions for the customer, experimenting with both wet and thermal extraction techniques.
Fill in the form below briefly summarising your metal recovery needs (if available, please attach analyses of the residues to be treated); we will contact you for a preliminary feasibility evaluation of the metal recovery project.
